Corporate Kits are an archival binder that organizes and stores critical documents and other items for forming and governing a business entity. The kit includes a metal impression seal; ownership certificates; a transfer ledger; various forms for company minutes and an index. These items are housed in an extra-large capacity, heavy-duty ring or post binder. A matching slip case commonly protects the contents from damage for the many years it may be maintained. The binder, seal and certificates are usually customized with the entity name and further text such as the year and state of organization or types of shares authorized. Although, in addition to corporations, the kits are used for limited liability companies, limited partnerships and other business entities, corporate kit remains the term ordinarily used in common business usage.
